2009 Doubling Cohort Survey completed

The Building Bridges Coalition has completed its annual doubling cohort study through which the coalition gauges progress towards its goal to double the number of volunteers serving abroad. The impact of the economic downturn of the last year is evident in the 2009 results, which project achieving 70% of the doubling goal by 2010 compared with last year's projection to achieve 92% of the doubling goal. On Tuesday, June 30, the Chair of the Building Bridges Coalition (BBC), Steve Rosenthal and Jim Swiderski, BBC Director of Advocacy were pleased to meet with Congresswoman Nita Lowey at her congressional office in White Plains, New York.
